Mrs. Wright's Science Class
7th grade science is a year-long course that aligns to the Next Generation Science Standards. In this class, students will use inquiry-based learning in labs, activities, and projects. Students will learn about the scientific method, where they will participate in scientific investigations and answer questions about hypotheses, variables, procedure, analyze data, and write a conclusion. Cell structure and functions will be studied, where students will compare and contrast different types of cells. Next, students will learn about genetics and adaptations of organisms. Human body systems will be explored with a focus on how the systems all work together. Finally, students will learn about interactions between energy and ecosystems to understand how systems of living and non-living things operate to meet the needs of the organisms in an ecosystem.
