Last January 2018, the Falconiers performed for the Gallup Charity Auction’s opening ceremony at the Northern Quest Casino. Last week, at their awards banquet, they gave us a plaque recognizing our part of the “Family” Supporting the Auction.
The Gallup Charity Auction is an event that raises money for the Ronald McDonald House. It has run every year for the last 35 years and has raised close to $3 million over that time. Last year alone they raised around $50,000. They auction Stallions (Horses) and other smaller items to people from around the world and their opening ceremony is streamed all over the world. So being a part of this event was a big deal and a great experience for the kids. (I did not tell them about the streaming part until after they were done J)
They also have an ambassador who is a current or former patient who is or has used the Ronald McDonald House. Pictured is the organizer, Barb Turner, one of the years’ past ambassadors with his sister, Mr. Vaughn along with Faith Stichweh, who is a member of the Falconiers again this year.
We were invited back again for the event in January 2019.
