Centennial Middle School is experiencing a high rate of absenteeism with 89 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks with over 400 students absent today due to quarantine or sickness. To reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 and provide equitable access to learning, CMS will temporarily move to remote virtual learning beginning Thursday, January 20th. This applies to all Centennial Middle School students.
In-person learning will resume on Tuesday, January 25th for students who choose to participate in the “Test to Stay” protocol. This protocol requires students to be symptom-free and test negative on a COVID-19 test before returning to school. Testing will be provided at CMS on Monday, January 24th and Tuesday, January 25th. A follow-up communication will be sent with testing times and location.
